Laminated Posts

Unlike traditional 6" x 6" solid posts generally supplied for post-frame construction, Gold Standard offers a 4-ply column. The 4-ply columns typically: cost less than timbers; are stronger and straighter than timbers; available in various lengths and dimensions and are environmentally superior.

Gold Standard Laminated Posts incorporate:

• Stress-rated, four-member, laminated, No. 1 SYP or MSR SPF uppers
• Pressure-treated No. 1 SYP lower columns for long-term protection against decay and termites
• Glue and mechanically laminated lower columns, using stainless steel fasteners
• Individual pieces that are kiln-dried prior to and following preservative treatment
• More complete treatment of 1-1/2" thick plies than solid sawn posts
• 50-year protection against fungal decay or insect attack on preservative-treated lumber
